Since 1986, Colette Lebel has served various functions in the agricultural cooperative movement. She is currently the director of the cooperative business management division of La Coop fédérée.
Serving this function, Colette is responsible for training managers, promoting the Coop’s cooperative identity, and overseeing the Coop’s cooperative network. She is a contributor to Le Coopérateur agricole (the agricultural cooperator) journal in which she has a monthly feature. Trained as an agronomist, she participated in the Economics and Management of Co-operative Enterprises program at the University of Bologna and graduated from a complex and cooperative apprenticeship program at the University of Sherbrooke.
Colette Lebel is a board member of the Association of Co-operative Educators as well and of the Conseil d’orientation de l’Institut de recherche et d’éducation pour les coopératives et mutuelles de l’Université de Sherbrooke (Strategic direction Council of the University of Sherbrooke Research Institute).
